My Sweet, Sweet Sugarbear

The Sleipnir is getting touched (as are other command ships but: Sleipnir). I'm not mad. I am mildly irritated. I'm not going to comment across all of the Command Ships. I fly exactly one of them.

I am a Sleipnir Pilot and trained up to Command Ship V to soak up all the delicious bonuses that the Sleipnir gives. These are the changes being made to it.
Sleipnir:
Minmatar Battlecruiser skill bonuses:
10% bonus to Medium Projectile Turret damage (was 5% RoF)
7.5% bonus to shield boosting amount
Command Ships skill bonuses:
10%(+5) bonus to Medium Projectile Turret damage
10% bonus to Medium Projectile Turret falloff
Fixed Bonus:
Can fit up to three Warfare Link modules, 15% bonus to strength of Siege Warfare and Skirmish Warfare links
Slot layout: 7 H (-1), 5 M, 5 L, 5 turrets (-2), 2 Launchers (-1)
Fittings: 1300 PWG (-160), 425 CPU (-50)
Defense (shields / armor / hull) : 4500(+176) / 3600(-244) / 3500(+137)
Base shield resistances (EM/Therm/Kin/Exp): 75(+12.5) / 60(+10) / 40 / 50
Base armor resistances (EM/Therm/Kin/Exp): 90(+5) / 67.5(+8.13) / 25 / 10
Capacitor (amount / recharge rate / average cap per second): 2625 / 583s / 4.5
Mobility (max velocity / agility / mass / align time): 165 / 0.704 / 12800000(+300000) / 12.49s (+0.3)
Drones (bandwidth / bay): 25(-15) / 25(-15)
Targeting (max targeting range / Scan Resolution / Max Locked targets): 70km (+25) / 220 / 7(+1)
Sensor strength: 20 Ladar (+4)
Signature radius: 240
Cargo capacity: 475
The irritation comes from a gain in mass. I don't understand CCP Fozzie's desire to slow down Minmatar ships and bloat them. How much speed and agility the Sleip will lose won't be game breaking but it will be noticeable. Frustrating for me and my enjoyment of agile ships. I'll have to break out ETF and see if adding a nano and losing a low slow for it will still work out with the DPS and tracking/range tweaks added to it. I kite in this boat and my agility and speed are rather important as well as making me happy, overall.

This is my current Sleipnir fit. I tend to hate posting fits because I don't particularly enjoy being involved in fit discussions. They have the taste of political and religious discussions. But, I've died in this fit before.

I use it purely as a PvE boat backed by a Scimitar. I mostly use it to run 5/10 DED complexes. Sometimes I do level 4 missions in it. For mission running I can perma run the MWD/Invul/DCU happily. Its the long point that tips the capacitor over.

Looking at fits is always good. I just realized that I don't have Shield Rigging IV. I have it almost finished. I suspect I got distracted with something else. I put these together last summer

I fly my Sleipnir as a kiting boat not a brawler. I do not fly it as a Command Ship or run links. Some of the changes like the reduced drone bay are a shrug, okay sure whatever, type of thing. The Turret loss appears, upon first look, to be compensated by the damage bonuses being added. Again, I have to run the numbers and try out the ship once it hits the test servers.

300,000 additional mass is still a lot. An awful lot. Like way to many frigate snacks for my Sleipnir are now starting to show since he isn't so young anymore.

Edit to Add: I guess Arty Sleipnir may be in my future?

Maybe one day!

It was a random question that I knew the answer of. I have 'Sugar' as a keyword so it highlights green and catches my attention. This made me chuckle. Maybe I'll have to go and see what it is like to shoot a ship one day? I could not help but smile. Basi suggested that I put my Titan killmail in my bio and assert my badassery. I figure, naw. It was a roll of the dice that landed me that kill mail. It doesn't define me as a person. Bios are interesting. The idea of a biography is a way to personalize your account. You can learn a lot about a person by what they choose to put in their bio

Taboo Questions

Let us talk contentious things. What about high sec? When will CCP pay attention to high sec and those that cannot spend their time in dangerous space?  This is somewhat how the day started, sparked by a question from an anonymous poster. Speaking about high sec, in general, is one of the hardest things to do. The amount of emotion wrapped around the topic is staggering. There are people who want to stay in high sec and nothing will make them leave. There are people who want no one to stay in high sec and wish to cripple everything about it. There are people in between, but the two extremes are large and emotional in discussion. My belief is simple. If a player wishes to live in high sec, I do not believe that anything will make them leave that is not their own curiosity. I do not believe that we can beat people out of high sec or destroy it until they go to other areas of space. Sometimes, I think we forget that every player has the option to not log back in. We want them to log

Conflicted

Halycon said it quite well in a comment he left about the skill point trading proposal for skill point changes. He is conflicted in many different ways. So am I. Somedays, I don't want to be open minded. I do not want to see other points of view. I want to not like things and not feel good about them and it be okay. That is something that is denied me for now. I've stated my opinion about the first round of proposals to trade skills. I don't like them. That isn't good enough. I have to answer why. Others do not like it as well. I cannot escape over to their side and be unhappy with them. I am dragged away and challenged about my distaste.  Some of the people I like most think the change is good. Other's think it has little meaning. They want to know why I don't like it. When this was proposed at the CSM summit, I swiveled my chair and asked if they realized that they were undoing the basic structure that characters and game progression worked under. They said th
